Bubble Wrap

1. Give each student a piece of bubble wrap cut with the appropriate number of bubbles available.
2. Give the students colored dots that are an appropriate color for the students to write on and see the words.
3. Read the title of the piece of literature. Have the students generate 5 – 7 words that they think they will hear in the reading. Make sure the students write on the dots and place the dots on the bubble wrap.
4. Read the literature piece and have the students pop the bubbles as they hear the words that they wrote on their bubble wrap.
5. After the reading, have the students pop all the remaining bubbles. Once the others are popped, debrief the students on the reading.
